Senior Manager, Integrated Marketing

How You Will Impact Our Mission

The Senior Manager, Integrated Marketing is responsible for the development and execution of integrated marketing plans that support new exhibits, events, programs, and strategic initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Integrated Marketing, this role will supervise a team and play a key role in aligning messaging, timing, and execution across all major marketing functions including media, social, PR, promotions, and creative.

What You Will Do

Lead the creation of comprehensive integrated marketing plans for key institutional initiatives including habitat openings, seasonal events, and program launches.

Develop high-quality strategic marketing presentations in PowerPoint for internal alignment and executive review.

Support the channel planning process to ensure cohesive messaging across CRM, media, social, partnerships, and promotions.

Participate in marketing plan development of new products, attractions, and events.

Manage internal timelines and deliverables to ensure smooth coordination between key departments including Promotions, PR, Social Media, Communications, Design, and Media.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align on campaign strategy, ensure message consistency, and optimize timing of marketing efforts.

What We Are Looking For

Job Experience

5+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or strategic planning role preferred

Demonstrated success developing and presenting strategic marketing plans, including strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint required

Experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns and aligning efforts across various marketing disciplines required

Strong communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills required

Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously required

A passion for wildlife conservation and the mission of San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance

Education and Certifications

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field required

Skills and Knowledge

Strong project management skills including the ability to effectively prioritize and manage all stakeholder expectations.

Strong understanding of creative conceptualization process and vision.

Must be able to relate to understand, and support the needs of creative team members.

Extremely organized, detailed oriented, pro-active, and results driven.

Strategic, critical thinker and creative problem solver with big picture in mind.

Natural history, wildlife conservation, zoology, or biology background is desirable.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Self-motivated, positive outlook, can-do personality.

Can thrive under pressure in fast-paced, deadline driven, and constantly changing environment with evolving project needs.

Can calmly navigate thru many personalities and individual priorities and appear as the voice of reason throughout project.

Clearly communicate to internal and external stakeholders.

Able to operate moderately complex computer software programs.

Has a strong understanding of business acumen and creative vision to execute strategic marketing plans succinctly and accurately.

Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
