Essential Skills
5+ years of experience in mechanical design using SolidWorks 3D.
Experience with sheet metal and fabricated weldment assemblies.
Experience working on the floor with manufacturing to support troubleshooting.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP).
Experience in heavy truck or transportation chassis design.
Job Description
As a Solidworks Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models and assembly drawings using SolidWorks. Your primary focus will be the design and development of complete chassis cabs and various other mechanical parts. You should possess a strong background in mechanical design and be highly proficient in 3D solid modeling. Collaboration with the shop floor will be essential to verify fit and function, ensuring designs are accurately translated into physical components. Accuracy and timeliness are critical to meeting project deadlines.
Responsibilities
Create detailed 3D models and assembly drawings using SolidWorks.
Focus on the design and development of complete chassis cabs and mechanical parts.
Collaborate with the shop floor to verify fit and function of designs.
Ensure designs are accurately translated into physical components.
Meet project deadlines with accurate and timely designs.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $46.00/hr.
