Tool Designer For Plastic Injection Molding

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tool Designer that specializes in Plastic Injection Molding to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing high-precision molds that enable the production of quality components. Responsibilities

Design and develop plastic injection molds based on product specifications, part geometry, and manufacturing requirements.

Create 3D mold designs and 2D detailed drawings using CAD software (Solid Works).

Collaborate with product design, tooling, and production teams to ensure manufacture and design feasibility.

Perform mold flow analysis and make necessary design adjustments for quality and cycle-time improvement.

Specify materials, cooling systems, runner/gate design, and ejection systems.

Review and validate designs for strength, tolerance, and parting line accuracy.

Maintain accurate design documentation and adhere to company design standards.

Qualifications

Proficiency in mold design and fabrication, including understanding of blueprint reading and machining processes.

Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and repairing molds and tooling.

Ability to maintain close attention to detail and uphold quality standards in mold making processes.

*Must have at least 10 years of Tool Designer experience.
