This is for an open position with the FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. Location: Position may be filled at Akron, OH; Greensburg, PA; Reading, PA; or Fairmont, WV locations. Position is currently remote but may work at or visit a facility based on business need. As an IT Business Analyst in the Transmission and Distribution Products group you will be part of a highly motivated team focused on the Construction & Design product. The position will consist of being part of a broader product team focused on enhancing software and technology surrounding unified cost, schedule, portfolio, and equipment & materials management capabilities. In this position you will partner with users across the company to provide high value product increments to the Construction & Design product. Responsibilities: Production support: Supporting the FirstEnergy Transmission business units and applicable applications to ensure successful day-to-day business functions. Investigating and resolving problems reported via the Help Desk or directly from business clients. Providing analytical and operational support to the business clients. Supporting the Construction & Design Technology products including end user support. Managing enhancement requests throughout the development lifecycle. Working directly with business units to collect requirements, facilitate workshops, develop quality functional specifications and/or business process maps, perform analysis, and recommend the best technical approach. Working with IT developers & application configuration analysts to ensure the solution satisfies functional requirements. Configuring solutions. Creating and executing comprehensive unit, integration, and user acceptance test plans. Developing detailed implementation plans and providing clear documentation.
