Vendor Marketing Specialist

The Vendor Marketing Specialist builds and maintains relationships with national brands and vendors. Acts as a liaison between internal marketing/merchandising teams and vendors to collaborate, develop, and implement yearly vendor marketing plans to support business growth objectives.

Essential Functions:

Manages vendor relationships and create marketing strategies to enhance company and vendor sales goals using product placement, marketing communications, and in-store events.

Collaborates, develops, and implements vendor marketing plans and ensures marketing campaigns are executed on time.

Manages vendor presence across multiple marketing avenues: email, social media, web, paid search/display/social, and print.

Monitors vendor marketing campaigns and adjust channel strategies accordingly to maximize results.

Works closely with merchants and partner with vendors to support ongoing priorities including product launches, sales promotions, brand awareness, and communications.

All other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:

Minimum degree required: Education/training: BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field is required.

Experience: Project management, customer service, time management. 2-3 years marketing communication and/or project management experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

Customer service experience required

Project/account management experience highly preferred

Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment

Demonstrated knowledge in the development, execution, and management of marketing communications projects/programs

Able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Strong verbal and written communications skills, with a passion for accuracy

Well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills, detail-oriented, highly motivated, and self-starter.

Able to work well independently and in a team environment, as well as interact with individuals at all levels within the organization

Able to demonstrate consistent ability to meet objectives on time

Proven ability to create comprehensive marketing plans

Resourcefulness in solving problems

Strong work ethic, excellent people skills, and a positive, enthusiastic attitude

Travel Requirements:

Periodic travel as required

Physical Requirements:

Regularly performs computer work and sits.

Occasionally walks and stands.

Seldom/never lifts up to 50lbs.

Independent Judgement:

Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
