Strategic leader for Sony Consumer Products (Hardlines, Softlines and Publishing) at retail accounts such as Walmart, Target, Amazon, Hot Topic, Five Below and others.
Responsible for building and driving Multi-Category Program Development - from ideation and strategy to executional tactics, to achieve/support organizational objectives for market share, volume, revenue, operating income and brand awareness.
Leads presentations with key entertainment councils at mass retail accounts to drive support for key Sony Pictures initiatives.
Cultivates and fosters strong working relationships with retailer buyers, marketing managers, and key agencies/suppliers
Ability to influence the account by selling-in key programs
Applies financial acumen and analytical skills to build a successful strategy
Manages marketing programs including digital/social campaigns and in-store events that cross multiple business segments and IP for Sony film and television franchises for the consumer products department
Works comfortably with licensees and specific category experience in Hardlines, Softlines and/or Publishing
Responsible for the retail development budget of assigned accounts and ensuring that the revenue goals are being achieved
Education and Experience Requirements:
A bachelor's degree is required, MBA preferred
8-10+ years of Retail Development experience and industry knowledge
Experience within the consumer brand/CPG space highly preferred
Cross category programs and experience highly preferred
A strong understanding of key Softlines and toy categories is highly preferred
Experience with managing publicity, digital and retail marketing campaigns as part of programs
Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) is required.
Proven presentation skills with executive presence and leadership; ability to appropriately influence and drive results with key stakeholders
Proven track record of developing and presenting a compelling marketing strategy and content presentation at a buyer/marketing manager level meeting
Travel required. Microsoft Office fluency including PowerPoint is critical.
