Job Summary:
The Junior Instructional Designer is responsible for leveraging their expertise in design and technology to create and maintain effective training materials across various delivery formats, including e-learning, video, instructor-led sessions, and job aids. The role demands a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and responsiveness. Strong communication skills, consistent follow-through, reliability, and a sensitivity to deadlines are essential. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build online courseware with scripts, graphics, animation, and interaction to reinforce learning objective
- Upload and publish e-learning courses to the company's proprietary learning management system
- Develop and design education curriculum for commercial purposes effectively and on time, using traditional and multimedia resources
- Manage and execute graphic design and video development projects for instructional and presentation needs
- Maintain training materials, courseware, and online content, to ensure that information is current and accessible
- Complete training content development while adhering to project requirements and timeline
- Build webpages/portals/widgets as needed to support training initiatives
- Troubleshoot online courseware issues
- Consider localization requirements and build modular content to improve productivity
- Identify and manage project dependencies
Communications:
- Work with internal users, Project owner and SMEs in deployment and development of training materials
- Interface with clients, both internal and external, and other stakeholders for purposes of presenting design concepts and output
- Lead instructional design projects, from training needs analysis to evaluation
- Coordinate with the LMS admin team on:
- Creation of job aids and design templates
- Technical troubleshooting on courseware
- Project Management via Smartsheet or other related tools
Continuous Improvement:
- Research and make recommendations on educational best practices, instructional resources, instructional technologies and multimedia hardware/software to support teaching and learning
- Lead development of team process improvement and documentation guides related to projects
- Support team level projects on quality and delivery improvements
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferably in (Instructional Design, Information Technology, Multimedia/Graphics Design, Organization Development) or equivalent work experience.
- Working knowledge in training solution design, instructional design processes for both traditional and online training development, and training evaluation.
- Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio and video scripts
- Knowledge of computer technologies and the technical processes involved
- Experience in Video Editing tools such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Vyond, etc.
- Experience in Learning Management Systems
- Knowledgeable in utilizing Adobe Creative Suite, Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Rise, etc.
- Proficient in both traditional and virtual training facilitation
- Previous experience in training, curriculum design, training needs analysis, and training evaluation
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong visual design sense, highly creative, and innovative
- Organized and self-motivated
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Demonstrate the ability to breakdown and deliver a complex message to a variety of audiences
- Technology savvy
- Willing to work full onsite in Mandaluyong and on a mid-shift.
