Description of the Position
Reporting to the Senior Management of Finance and Operations Fizz, the Product Owner acts as a leader in their field of expertise by participating in all phases of product delivery, from ideation to delivery, including prototyping, backlog creation, and operationalization. Additionally, the Product Owner must manage the product's priorities according to the company's strategic objectives and guidelines.
Main Responsibilities:
- Represent the product within the company and be the guarantor of the user experience;
- Define the product vision and roadmap in collaboration with the extended product team;
- Lead activities to identify customer value, estimate efforts required, and ensure continuous management of demand and capacity with the team;
- Collaborate closely with the extended product team to write and prepare clear requirements aligned with user needs;
- Communicate the product vision effectively internally;
- Ensure the team focuses at all times on the elements with the highest value added for customers and the company;
- Ensure consistency between business objectives, product strategy, vision, and the needs of end users;
- Continuously evolve the product, maintaining its performance, sustainability, and conceptual and technical integrity, while respecting the company's different governance areas (enterprise architecture, security, data quality, tools, development, operations, etc.);
- Manage the backlog continuously and proactively;
- Write user stories and acceptance criteria;
- Ensure the product is delivered according to commitments;
- Define short-term (sprints), medium-term (KPIs), and long-term objectives based on stakeholder vision;
- Identify, collect, and communicate product-related issues.
Qualifications
- Hold a bachelor's degree in a related field;
- Possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar position;
- Master Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban;
- Have excellent knowledge of the Atlassian tool suite;
- Make informed business decisions based on evidence and use them to persuade;
- Be comfortable in a constantly evolving environment;
- Know how to say no appropriately, adapting the discourse according to the listener;
- Understand user and developer issues and be able to identify business opportunities to address them;
- Be delivery-oriented;
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills;
- Master English, both orally and in writing; and be able to communicate regularly with internal colleagues and external partners located outside Quebec.
