Job Description
The Product Analyst, Visa Government Solutions (VGS), supports the Senior Director, Commercialization, by contributing analytical, product, and use‑case development support for public‑sector payment initiatives across Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). This role plays a critical function in advancing scalable government use cases by preparing insights and solution inputs that inform leadership decisions and regional execution.
The role focuses on supporting the development of government‑specific payment use cases that can be designed once and replicated across multiple markets and verticals.
The Product Analyst partners with Sales, Product, Solutioning, Pricing, and regional teams to support opportunity shaping, solution definition, and launch preparation for public‑sector initiatives. This role does not own client relationships but supports senior leadership and regional teams through research, analysis, and structured inputs.
Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Director and broader VGS leadership with analytical and product support across priority public‑sector use cases.
- Contribute to the development and documentation of scalable public‑sector use cases that can be replicated across LAC markets.
- Support vertical‑focused use‑case development.
- Conduct market research and internal analysis to inform solution design, prioritization, and regional rollout considerations.
- Support Product and Solutioning teams by translating high‑level government needs into structured solution inputs and product requirements.
- Prepare internal materials—including use‑case summaries, country briefs, and executive‑level slide content—to support global, regional and in-market coordination.
- Support country‑level public‑sector initiatives through data gathering, competitive insights, and business case support.
- Assist in coordinating internal stakeholders across global, regional, and local teams to support alignment on solution development and launches.
Essential Functions
- Support evaluation of new verticals, partnerships, and public‑sector segments through research and comparative analysis.
- Conduct research to identify public‑sector use cases with strong scaling and replication potential across LAC.
- Analyze government payment flows, policy objectives, and market structures to support solution development.
- Support progression of priority use cases through internal milestones by coordinating inputs across Product, Solutioning, VCS, VD and GA teams.
- Track product and capability gaps identified through internal discussions and support preparation of structured follow‑up materials.
- Collaborate internal stakeholders to support consistency of solution direction across markets.
- Coordinate with internal teams across Compliance, Legal, Risk, Technology, Marketing, Client Readiness, and Government Affairs to support launch preparedness and internal approvals.
- Maintain organized documentation, timelines, and summary materials to support effective execution by senior leadership.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- Experience in the payments industry, with understanding of revenue drivers, commercial payments and public‑sector use cases strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of government payment flows, including G2B and G2C.
- Proven ability to manage projects independently, prioritize workstreams, and adapt quickly in a fast‑changing environment.
- Experience working on complex, cross‑functional initiatives with senior and junior stakeholders across a matrixed organization.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving skills, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and competitive assessments.
- Ability to identify opportunities, challenge assumptions, and deliver client‑focused solutions that drive measurable business impact.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for executive audiences.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required, Portuguese a plus.
- Familiarity with Visa products and platforms, including virtual cards, payables automation, APIs, data‑driven solutions, and commercial payment platforms.
- Collaborative, self‑starter mindset with a creative and innovative approach to solution development.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 104,600.00 to 162,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
