Senior Director of Product Management

Sam's Club is seeking a visionary and servant-minded Senior Director of Product Management to lead Product Operations and serve as Chief of Staff to the Chief Product Officer. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, strategic alignment, and organizational effectiveness across the Product organization. You will own and evolve Propel (Product for Product), our internal product management platform, and lead initiatives around product fundamentals, roadmapping, outcomes tracking, annual operating plan (AOP), budgeting, and strategic planning. You'll also oversee program management, including early career recruiting, and act as a key thought partner to the CPO.

Lead strategic product operations, serve as chief of staff to the CPO, spearhead program management & talent development, and champion culture & leadership.

What you'll bring includes 13+ years of experience in product management, proven track record of leading cross-functional teams, strong analytical skills, deep understanding of product development lifecycles, exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, experience with strategic planning, budgeting, and organizational design, and passion for developing talent and building inclusive teams.

Preferred skills include experience with internal product platforms or tools, familiarity with LOE estimation, roadmap tooling, and outcome measurement frameworks, background in recruiting or program management for early career talent, ability to influence at all levels and drive consensus in complex environments, and strong domain knowledge in retail, membership, or digital product ecosystems.

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related area and 13 years' experience in product management. Option 2: 15 years' experience in product management or related area.

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area and 12 years' experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products, supervisory experience, knowledge in creating inclusive digital experiences, and knowledge of accessibility best practices.
