Walmart is hiring an experienced leader for the product organization responsible for Sparky, our AI-powered shopping experience, with full ownership of product vision, platform, metrics, and execution. This leader will define and deliver the multi-year roadmap to establish Sparky as the default interaction layer across Walmart's app and web worldwide, including the highest-traffic experiences like Search, Product Detail Pages, and Customer Care while building toward external agent-to-Walmart-agent commerce. The leader will be responsible for running Sparky as a business, owning core KPIs including engagement rate, task completion, conversion and GMV lift, with clear executive reporting. The role includes building and scaling the Sparky platform: conversational UX primitives and animations; multimodal foundations across voice and vision; intent understanding and routing with measurable classification accuracy; and an agentive framework that enables Walmart teams to build and own domain-specific agents (e.g., cancel orders, update payment methods, customize cakes, brand modules in Search). A primary mandate is expanding agentive commerce so customers complete high-frequency actions natively within Sparky instead of being deep-linked elsewhere, systematically converting prioritized fallback prompts into end-to-end flows. The leader will also drive personalization using behavioral and membership signals, within conversational flows while protecting relevance and trust, and extend the Sparky platform across international markets and Sam's Club with a clear localization and reuse strategy.
