Instructional Designer
GovCIO is currently hiring for an Instructional Designer to support the RRL initiative at SWSC. This position is fully remote.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with and gathering course material from subject matter experts.
- Conducting analysis of program requirements and determining a strategic solution.
- Converting written materials and course content into interactive courseware.
- Providing a user-friendly interface for content contributors and end-users.
- Developing new e-learning programs or updating and maintaining existing courseware in alignment with objectives.
- Keeping abreast of training and development research: adult learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques.
- Evaluating and/or overseeing contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs.
- Collaborating with project managers, subject matter experts, and multimedia specialists.
- Creating criteria for determining course effectiveness and making improvements.
- Selecting or developing teaching aids such as demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.
- Evaluating end-users to determine technological literacy, learning capacity, and teaching methodology.
- Developing flowcharts and storyboards based on course materials.
- Being knowledgeable and capable of operating various computer-based training systems including distance learning and long-range facilitated group discussions.
- Being responsible for producing quick reference guides.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's with 0 - 2 years (or commensurate experience).
- Clearance Required: Secret.
- Required Skills and Experience: NETC training experience preferred skills and experience, MTS qualified, US Navy/Marine Corps veteran.
