Product Quality Supervisor
Administers the company's quality program within a defined department of the organization. Develops and implements techniques for ensuring the maintenance of quality levels. Support Wilsonart programs to ensure the integrity of all manufacturing processes and products: incoming material inspections, testing & control; quality records review, conducting regular product audits, quality improvement initiatives, training, RCA/CAPA investigation of deviations and non-conformances, and support of ISO 9001 and similar programs. Performs other tasks as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support Quality Management Systems including (Quality, Environmental, & Safety)
- Maintain Quality Assurance culture; identify & provides necessary training, coaching, performance evaluation, support and assistance; provides technical and functional guidance; delegates tasks to direct reports.
- Ensures that production records are complete, accurate, and in compliance
- Develop, analyze and implement quality procedures to improve product performance and reliability.
- Conducts periodic and special surveys of vendor's facilities to determine adequacy and capability of quality control and ability to comply with complete quality specifications.
- Develops and initiates standards for inspection, testing and evaluation.
- Directs workers engaged in testing products and tabulating data concerning materials, products or process quality and reliability.
- Assists in preparation, handling & hosting regulatory or customer audits with Quality Compliance team
- Support /Assist in any other quality-related activities; leads/facilitates quality improvement teams & initiatives
Entry Requirements
- Knowledge of products manufactured.
- Skill in utilizing spreadsheets, process analysis, trends, Microsoft office, Project Management and databases.
- Ability to analyze problems and develop solutions.
- Ability to communicate well in oral and written forms at all levels of the organization.
- Self-motivated with the ability to meet objectives and customer expectations on multiple projects. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to carry out tasks completely, efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Skill in mathematics.
- Knowledge of manufacturing process. Knowledge of chemical and physical principles.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Bachelor Degree Required
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Science, or a closely related field plus two years of experience. One additional year of experience may substitute for one year of required education with a maximum substitution of four years.
