We're looking for a Lighting Designer I who is detail-oriented, technically skilled in Revit and Building Information Modeling (BIM), and excited to learn the craft of lighting design.

What You'll Do

• Revit & BIM Support
• Build, manage, and maintain lighting models in Revit with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Assist with integrating lighting models into architectural and engineering workflows.
• Organize and maintain project files, BIM standards, and content libraries.
• Work closely with senior lighting designers to develop conceptual designs.
• Assist with fixture placement, tagging, and schedules in Revit.
• Help prepare renderings, diagrams, and visualizations to convey design concepts.
• Participate in basic lighting calculations and control system layouts.
• Support coordination with architects, interior designers, and engineers.
• Contribute to client presentation materials.
• Receive on-the-job training in lighting design fundamentals, codes, and product knowledge.
• Gain exposure to multiple project types, including hospitality, commercial, retail, and mixed-use.
• Learn site visit procedures, field measurement techniques, and final fixture aiming.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Theatrical Lighting, Industrial Design, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent technical experience in Revit/BIM.
• Strong Revit skills with the ability to model complex geometry and maintain clean, organized files.
• Interest in lighting design, architecture, or visual arts—experience with rendering or visualization software a plus.
• Creative eye for composition, light, and space.
• Willingness to learn technical aspects of lighting and controls.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu, Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp, or 3D modeling software a plus.
• Effective communication and organization skills.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and willing to travel occasionally for site visits.
