We're seeking a skilled and motivated Lighting Designer II ready to contribute to impactful projects and grow within our collaborative, creative environment. This role is ideal for a designer with several years of professional lighting experience who can manage portions of a project independently, while working closely under the guidance of senior staff.

What You'll Do

• Design & Documentation
• Collaborate with teammates to develop conceptual lighting designs.
• Produce sketches, renderings, and/or models to communicate concepts.
• Select and specify lighting fixtures; prepare product documentation.
• Perform lighting and lighting control calculations.
• Develop lighting plans in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, engineers, and manufacturers.
• Create lighting-related mock-ups and test designs.
• Conduct final fixture aiming, adjustments, and punch lists on construction sites.
• Project Support
• Assist in preparing client-facing presentations.
• Support project schedules and budgets under senior guidance.
• Participate in site visits, surveys, and meetings.
• Document progress and maintain organized project files.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering, Theater, Interior Design, Architecture, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
• 4–7 years of professional lighting design experience (or equivalent skill level).
• Competent in both lighting and lighting control system design.
• Proficiency with AGI32 and/or LightStanza lighting calculation software.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD required.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu, Adobe Photoshop, 3ds Max, SketchUp, or similar software a plus.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel for site visits.
