About the Role
As the oCHRO Customer Zero Principal Product Manager, you will serve as a bridge between our users' needs and the technology that powers their work. You will deeply understand how our Workmates engage with our products and balance that knowledge with services, finance, legal, and privacy considerations to define product vision, strategy, and roadmaps.
You will stay informed of oCHRO industry trends and the evolving technology landscape, using these insights to identify opportunities and drive innovation — particularly in the AI space. As an individual contributor, you will lead high-visibility special projects and champion best practices and architecture across teams.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with business partners, product teams, designers, and architects to discover and deliver the most impactful solutions for our Workmates
- Operating as both a designer of business processes and technical requirements and a product manager who ensures implemented solutions deliver outstanding experiences
- Driving large cross-functional initiatives and implementations that create amazing experiences for Workmates and accelerate Workday's business growth
- Taking a data-driven approach to influence colleagues, business partners, and key executives — owning results even when achieving them through others
About You
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience working on technology-powered products as a product manager, product designer, engineer, data analyst, data scientist, or user researcher.
- 5+ years of functional experience managing experiences across three or more of the following: Core HCM, Talent Acquisition, Talent Experience, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking.
- 5+ years experience with Workday product capabilities and industry standards for designing best in class experiences.

- Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of the oCHRO landscape, including staying current with industry trends, technology developments, and best practices to inform product vision and roadmaps that address real user needs
- Business Influence: Ability to shape decisions and drive alignment through persuasive communication and well-structured, data-informed narratives — including the ability to influence without direct authority by developing strategic relationships across the organization
- Customer Advocacy: Passion for understanding and representing user needs, with experience synthesizing feedback from multiple sources — users, leaders, market factors, partners, and engineering — to create solutions that balance user satisfaction with business, legal, and privacy considerations
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Experience partnering effectively with product teams, designers, architects, engineers, and business leaders to discover, design, and deliver impactful solutions in a collaborative environment
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with colleagues and executives across the organization, including navigating competing priorities with composure and facilitating alignment on shared goals
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to evaluate the broader business landscape, anticipate challenges and opportunities, and develop long-term product strategies that align with Workday's mission and goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt content and style for various audiences — from detailed technical summaries to executive progress updates
- A motivated learner who thrives on creatively solving complex problems, managing multiple priorities, and continuously developing new approaches in a fast-paced environment
- Open to a hybrid work arrangement with 50% in-office reporting at our Pleasanton, CA or Atlanta, GA office.
