About the Team

The GO Implementation Strategy team is dedicated to deployment innovation by building and optimizing deployment approaches, tooling, and automation so that Workday deployments are repeatable, high quality, and insight-driven across our ecosystem. Our current mission is focused on medium enterprise deployments with a goal of significantly reducing the effort of HCM and Payroll projects. If you are excited by the opportunity to reimagine how Workday deploys its applications—faster, with greater quality, and through the power of AI—this is the team for you.

About the Role

As a Product Advisor on the GO Implementation Strategy team, you will help build the "AI Deployment Engine" for Workday — a new model where AI-powered automations and orchestrations replace manual, repetitive implementation work at scale. This is not a traditional consulting role. We are looking for AI-native talent who are energized by the opportunity to fundamentally reshape how enterprise software is deployed. You will help design and refine an AI agent that operates much like a virtual implementation consultant — able to plan work, call tools and APIs, and continuously learn from execution data to improve deployments over time.

You will work hands-on with technologies like Model Context Protocol (MCP) Servers, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) models, and LLMs, using tools such as Cursor and Sana to design, build, and iterate on intelligent workflows. Your work will directly reduce the hours required of engagement managers and consultants, making Workday HCM and Payroll deployments faster, more consistent, and scalable across our medium enterprise customer base.

If you are passionate about using AI to solve real-world problems at scale and want to be part of a team that is redefining how enterprise software gets deployed, this role is for you.

Responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to the design and build of AI automations and orchestrations that reduce deployment effort for HCM and Payroll implementations
  • Partner closely with some of Workday's best functional consultants to translate deployment best practices and customer nuances into robust, reusable AI-driven automations
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize implementation workflows, testing, and training content using AI tools and emerging deployment automation capabilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Product, Services, Customer, and Partner teams to support alignment of automation strategies with broader deployment goals
  • Help break down ambiguous implementation challenges into scalable, tool- and workflow-based solutions that can be repeated across the ecosystem
  • Stay current with advancements in AI/ML-driven tools and apply them to continuously improve deployment approaches
  • Support progress across multiple parallel initiatives in a structured and organized way, balancing competing priorities effectively

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related work experience
  • Hands-on experience building automations, orchestrations, or workflow-based solutions using AI tools, scripting, or low-code/no-code platforms
  • Familiarity with AI/ML technologies such as LLMs, RAG models, MCP Servers, or similar, and a willingness to work directly with these tools to design and iterate on deployment solutions

Other Qualifications

  • Adaptable and open to change, with a willingness to adjust to evolving product and deployment strategies, learn from setbacks, and find a path forward when faced with new challenges
  • Effective communicator and collaborator, with experience working alongside cross-functional groups such as Product, Services, Engineering, Partners, and Customer teams. You can explain technical concepts in simple, accessible terms to audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge
  • Quick to learn new technologies and product areas, including AI/ML-driven tools and emerging deployment automation capabilities. You are eager to rapidly understand new problems, remain flexible, and apply new knowledge to unfamiliar situations
  • Organized and able to manage competing priorities, with a structured approach to supporting progress across parallel initiatives while maintaining quality
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with an ability to help break down ambiguous implementation challenges into scalable, repeatable solutions
  • Comfortable using AI tools such as generative AI assistants (e.g., Cursor, Sana) to design or enhance implementation workflows, documentation, and training content. Familiarity with technologies like MCP Servers, RAG models, and LLMs is a plus
  • Previous consulting experience, either as an internal consultant or with a consulting or software company, is a plus
  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time, as required by business needs
