You will lead the vision, strategy and delivery end-to-end for this mission-critical system including:

  • Card and debit network interchange management
  • Dues & assessments calculation and tracking
  • Customer pricing configurations
  • Association reconciliation
  • Merchant billing & statement generation

You will operate at the intersection of product, finance, risk, compliance, and engineering—ensuring accuracy, scalability, regulatory alignment, stability, and commercial optimization across our US payments ecosystem. You will directly shape the financial backbone of Xplor Pay's payment ecosystem.

Product Strategy & Ownership

  • Define and execute the product roadmap for Xplor Pay's billing and settlement platform, Horizon.
  • Drive long-term strategy around interchange and billing optimization, pricing transparency, and margin integrity.
  • Ensure the platform scales across verticals and supports evolving card network requirements.

Network & Pricing Expertise

  • Translate card network interchange programs, dues, and assessments into scalable system logic.
  • Own pricing model configuration (cost-plus, flat rate, tiered, blended, etc.).
  • Design tools to support margin monitoring, revenue leakage prevention, and profitability analytics.

Reconciliation & Financial Integrity

  • Lead association reconciliation capabilities across credit card and debit networks.
  • Ensure accurate mapping between network clearing files, processor data, and merchant billing.
  • Partner with Accounting & Finance to improve accuracy, audit readiness, and reporting transparency.

Billing & Statements

  • Oversee billing calculations, fee attribution logic, and merchant statement presentation.
  • Improve clarity, compliance alignment, and data consistency across statements.
  • Drive automation to increase month-end close efficiencies and reduce manual intervention and operational risk.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Operations.
  • Gather requirements from internal stakeholders and translate into prioritized backlog.
  • Manage sprint planning, product documentation, and feature release cycles.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for interchange, network economics, and settlement flows.

Essential duties include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting major company-wide key initiatives to add new system capabilities.
  • Coordinate on-time delivery of roadmap items with other interdependent departments.
  • Evaluate business processes, performing requirements analysis and documenting requirements.
  • Aligning with business stakeholders on requirements to ensure business needs are being met.
  • Serve as liaison between business stakeholders and scrum teams to prioritize requirements.
  • Provide support and assistance for troubleshooting issues and production support.
  • Monitor deliverables to ensure timely completion.

Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience in payments, fintech, or merchant acquiring.
  • Deep understanding of:
    • Card network interchange structures
    • Dues & assessments
    • Settlement & funding flows
    • Merchant billing and statements
    • Association reconciliation processes
  • Experience working with processors, sponsor banks, or network file formats (e.g., clearing, settlement, chargebacks) preferred.
  • Exposure to debit routing, cost optimization strategies, or margin analytics.
  • Familiarity with compliance obligations related to network rules.
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen.
  • Ability to interpret complex network pricing updates and convert into product requirements.
  • Experience with pricing engines, fee configuration tools, or ledger-based platforms preferred.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills and data-driven decision-making mindset.
  • Accountable, dependable, responsive, and self-motivated.

The average base salary pay range for this position is $120,000 to $130,000.
