Job Description

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Product Manager to define and drive the merchant-facing data, reporting, and payments insights strategy across our Global Payment Orchestration Platform. This is a high-impact, commercially critical role at the intersection of product, data, and payments.

You will own the full product suite for payments data through which our merchants understand, optimise, and grow their payments performance — from dashboards and configurable reporting to developer-grade APIs and AI-powered recommendations. Your work will directly influence merchant conversion rates, authorisation uplift, and cost optimisation at global scale.

Based in Pune and operating across multiple time zones, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders to build capabilities that are trusted, actionable, and differentiated. This is a rare opportunity to shape how payments intelligence is experienced by Xplor Pays merchants.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Vision

  • Define and own the vision for merchant-facing data products as a core pillar of platform differentiation
  • Translate merchant pain points (declines, conversion, reconciliation complexity) into product opportunities
  • Influence roadmap based on merchant feedback and commercial impact

Payments Domain & Data Foundation

  • Ensure deep integration of scheme data, issuer responses, and PSP/acquirer performance
  • Standardize and expose complex payments data (decline codes, interchange, fees) in a merchant-friendly way
  • Simplify reconciliation and financial reporting across all payment flows
  • Ensure underlying data systems support low-latency, high-accuracy reporting at scale, with clear SLAs for data freshness, completeness, and reliability
  • Drive consistency across reporting, APIs, and internal analytics

Merchant Reporting, Insights & Performance

  • Own the end-to-end reporting experience: dashboards, exports, scheduled reports, and APIs, covering the full payment lifecycle (authorization, conversion, subscriptions, settlement, reconciliation)
  • Deliver actionable insights such as decline reason analysis, issuer performance, and routing recommendations
  • Enable highly configurable, self-serve reporting for enterprise merchants
  • Productize key metrics (authorization rates, conversion, latency, cost per transaction) and surface optimization levers like smart routing, retries, and local acquiring
  • Develop benchmarking capabilities across industry, merchant, and regional comparisons

Data as a Revenue Driver

  • Define packaging and pricing strategies for advanced data features
  • Build premium capabilities including real-time analytics, alerting, custom reporting, and data APIs
  • Partner with Sales and Account Management to embed data into the commercial narrative and support enterprise deals
  • Drive adoption and monetization of data products with GTM teams

Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution

  • Partner with Engineering, Data, Finance, Risk, and Commercial teams across time zones
  • Own KPIs spanning dashboard adoption, report usage, merchant retention, and data-driven revenue
  • Track impact on authorization uplift, conversion improvement, and cost savings for merchants
  • Drive experimentation around insight-driven recommendations and alerting effectiveness

Qualifications

Required

  • 7+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in a payments, fintech, or financial data domain.
  • Demonstrable experience owning and shipping merchant-facing or customer-facing analytics, reporting, or data products at scale.
  • Strong commercial acumen — you understand how payments economics work, including interchange, acquiring costs, routing economics, and scheme rules.
  • Experience working with APIs as a product — defining developer experience, documentation, and adoption strategies.
  • Proven ability to translate complex, high-volume data into clear, intuitive product experiences.
  • Track record of leading cross-functional squads from discovery to delivery in an agile environment.
  • Excellent communication skills — able to engage credibly with merchants, engineers, data scientists, and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating in a global, distributed organisation across multiple time zones.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience with payment orchestration, intelligent routing, or multi-PSP environments.
  • Background in BI or analytics platforms from a product or integration perspective.
  • Familiarity with modern data infrastructure: event streaming, data warehouses, and real-time analytics pipelines.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS or platform businesses serving enterprise and mid-market merchant segments.
  • Exposure to global payments compliance and data residency considerations.
