Principal Product Manager, AI-native Invoicing
Small businesses fuel the global economy. In the US alone, they employ 60% of the workforce and create 80% of new jobs. Yet, the odds are stacked against them: one in two fails within five years. One of the most severe challenges a small business faces is managing their cash flow: balancing inflows and outflows, late customer payments, funding growth, and making payroll, all while hoping there is enough left over for profit or a rainy day.
At QuickBooks, we aren't just building software; we are trying to increase the survival rate of entrepreneurship globally. We are building the operating system that allows businesses to get paid faster, access capital, and manage their financial destiny.
Invoicing is one of the most time-consuming workflows in small business finance. Every week, business owners and their teams spend hours creating invoices, chasing payments, reconciling transactions, matching deposits, following up on overdue accounts, and answering customer questions about what they owe. It is necessary work, but it is rarely the work that grows a business.
We believe this changes with AI. QuickBooks is uniquely positioned to lead that shift, with the accounting data, payments rails, and customer relationships needed to automate the end-to-end Quote-to-Cash workflow. The opportunity is to give small businesses their time back, so owners can focus on serving customers, winning new work, and building the business they set out to build.
As Principal Product Manager, you will own the AI-native evolution of invoicing within QuickBooks, from the moment an SMB decides to bill a customer to the moment funds are received and reconciled. You will define which tasks can be fully automated, where the operator stays in control, and how intelligent agents can handle the manual work that consumes AR teams today. You will partner closely with ML, payments, and platform teams, and your decisions will directly influence how millions of businesses spend their time and manage their cash.
Why Join Us?

- Autonomy: You will own one of the most critical pillars of our ecosystem.

Responsibilities
- Set the vision for AI-native invoicing. Define the multi-year roadmap for automating Quote-to-Cash — what agents own end-to-end, what stays human-in-the-loop, and how the product evolves as model capabilities advance. Translate this into a strategy that cross-functional leaders can rally behind.
- Decide what to automate, and how far. Make the core product calls on which AR tasks agents should handle autonomously, which require operator approval, and where the line sits between helpful automation and loss of control. These decisions will define the product's trust model with SMBs.
- Own the outcomes that matter. Drive both sides of the success equation: hours of manual work eliminated for customers, and growth in invoice volume and Total Payments Volume for QuickBooks. Use data to find the highest-leverage workflows and ruthlessly prioritize against them.
- Ship at the pace the opportunity demands. Lead end-to-end execution from concept to launch, partnering with AI, engineering, design, and platform teams. Balance velocity with the quality bar required for a product that touches customers' cash flow.
- Be the voice of the SMB inside the building. Ground every decision in the reality of how small businesses actually run their AR workflows today. Use direct customer research and behavioral data to challenge assumptions and redirect investment when needed.
