Senior Staff Product Manager For Ai

This role will be crucial in shaping how professional service companies can fully utilize the Mailchimp ecosystem to drive growth, enhance client engagement, and boost their bottom line.

As Senior Staff Product Manager for AI within our AI Data Platform group, you'll define the vision and strategy for AI capabilities specific to this domain. You will ensure we deliver consistent, high-performing AI experiences to customers while aligning your group's initiatives with Mailchimp's broader, shared AI platform. By delivering AI-first capabilities within the AI Data Platform Group, you'll empower customers to operate more efficiently and improve their ROI.

Responsibilities

  • Domain Roadmap Ownership: Develop and own both the high-level strategic roadmap (1–2 year horizon) and detailed delivery plans for AI capabilities.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner closely with product, engineering, and design leaders within your group, while collaborating with the central AI and platform teams to ensure end-to-end consistency and integration.
  • Execution Excellence: Lead cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that set the new standard for AI-driven features within your product area.
  • Customer Obsession: Interact directly with Mailchimp customers across various industries to understand pain points, collect requirements, and gain a deep understanding of how AI can solve unique marketing needs.
  • Data-Driven Impact: Use a rigorous, metrics-driven approach to product development; define success criteria for roadmap items and demonstrate measurable impact on KPIs relevant to your specific product domain and service-based businesses.
  • Domain Evangelism: Champion AI best practices within your group, driving standard methodologies for AI-first capabilities that align with the wider organization.
  • Strategic Prioritization: Manage the prioritization of strategic features and use cases, ensuring the right AI capabilities are delivered to customers seamlessly.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Partner with product and engineering leadership to align product strategy, design approaches, and AI adoption within your specific area of the business.

Mentorship: Mentor and coach mid-level and senior product managers within your group, elevating the team's AI capabilities and fostering a culture of innovation.

Qualifications

  • 8 years of Product Management experience, with a focus on B2B SaaS and AI capabilities within the marketing space.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, multi-team SaaS products from ideation to launch within a specific product domain.
  • Deep understanding of the AI landscape, including a strong grasp of various sectors such as eCommerce, financial, consulting, and creative services.
  • Strong background in metrics, analytics, and models related to marketing activities.
  • Experience in productizing services or developing tools that enhance marketing for eCommerce or professional services delivery.
  • Technical proficiency and experience collaborating with engineering teams on AI/ML technologies and their practical application.
  • Experience with A/B testing and data-driven decision making in the context of marketing for service-based businesses.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with designers, engineers, and stakeholders across various organizational levels.
  • Passion for creating innovative solutions that solve real challenges faced by small business owners.
  • Excellent organizational, teamwork, and execution skills with the ability to drive work to completion in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; MBA or background in marketing is a plus.
