Intuit

Provides financial management, tax preparation, and accounting software solutions for individuals, small businesses, and self-employed professionals.

The Opportunity

QuickBooks' Workforce Solutions group powers payroll, benefits, time, and HR for millions of small and mid-market businesses. We're at an inflection point: AI is reshaping what's possible in benefits administration and insurance services, and we need a product leader who can see around the corner and build what comes next.

As a Staff Product Manager for Benefits & Insurance Services, you won't just manage a backlog—you'll define the category. You'll own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for experiences that make benefits enrollment, administration, and compliance feel effortless for employers and employees alike. This means designing AI native workflows, building connected experiences to the broader Intuit product ecosystem, and delivering experiences that drive meaningful customer and business impact.

We're looking for a new kind of PM: someone with extraordinary taste for what's worth building, the judgment to say no to good ideas in favor of great ones, and the ability to orchestrate agentic and human team members across engineering, design, data science, and compliance teams toward a shared vision. Domain expertise in benefits, insurance, or adjacent HR/payroll spaces is a strong advantage—but what matters most is your ability to learn fast, think structurally, and ship products that customers love.

Why This Role

Build at the center of Intuit's growth engine: QuickBooks Online Services revenue is growing double-digits, driven by money and payroll/workforce solutions.

Shape a product category: Benefits & Insurance Services inside QuickBooks is early-innings with enormous potential for a PM who wants to define it.

Work with world-class teams: Intuit's product, engineering, design, and data science organizations are among the best in enterprise SaaS.

AI is not a slogan here: Intuit is investing deeply in AI-powered experiences across its platform, and this role sits at the intersection of AI and regulated compliance—one of the hardest and most rewarding problem spaces.

Responsibilities

Who You Are

We believe the next generation of great product managers are defined by taste, judgment, and orchestration. Here's how you'll apply those skills:

Product Taste & Vision

  • Distill complex regulatory and technical requirements into elegant, customer-centric solutions that require no manual.
  • Leverage an instinct for quality to find simplicity on the other side of complexity in high-stakes, regulated domains.

Judgment & Strategic Decision-Making

  • Triangulate data and customer signals to make high-conviction decisions under ambiguity, balancing short-term delivery with long-term durability.
  • Practice ruthless prioritization, focusing the roadmap on outcomes rather than activity.

Orchestration & Influence

  • Lead through influence to galvanize cross-functional teams (engineering, design, compliance) around a shared product vision.
  • Communicate with clarity and energy across all levels, from senior leadership presentations to crisp requirements docs.

AI-Forward Execution

  • Identify where AI can automate or augment workflows to dramatically compress cycle times from insight to shipped product.
  • Continuously adopt new AI capabilities into your own toolkit and team processes to maintain a high velocity of learning and delivery.

What You'll Do

Own the Vision & Strategy

  • Define the end-to-end product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Benefits & Insurance Services, ensuring alignment with the broader Workforce Solutions and HCM strategy.
  • Establish the product as the single source of truth for all benefits data—enrollment, eligibility, carrier integrations, and compliance.
  • Set and track business outcome objectives tied to measurable customer benefit metrics, including adoption, retention, and compliance accuracy.

Build AI-Native Experiences

  • Design and ship AI-native experiences that fundamentally change benefits management, from intelligent plan recommendations to automated compliance checks.
  • Reimagine underlying workflows, data models, and decision architectures so automation is reliable, explainable, and trusted at scale.
  • Partner with Data Science and Engineering to define evaluation frameworks, trust thresholds, and human-in-the-loop controls for AI-driven decisions in a regulated domain.

Drive Execution with a High Bar

  • Define and drive high-quality, end-to-end product experiences across multiple domains, holding an uncompromising bar for usability, accuracy, and product-market fit.
  • Use data, domain expertise, and structured analysis to solve complex problems and align cross-functional teams toward target outcomes with speed and conviction.
  • Operate with urgency: leverage AI for rapid prototyping and analysis to compress discovery-to-delivery cycles.

Influence Across the Organization

  • Lead through influence, proactively partnering across all cross-functional teams to anticipate dependencies and deliver on the integrated business strategy.
  • Translate complex regulatory and insurance requirements into clear user stories, roadmaps, and product experiences that engineering teams can rally behind.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years industry experience in product management, with a track record of defining and shipping products that customers love and that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to own end-to-end product experiences across multiple products, domains, or capabilities with a high bar for quality.
  • Experience defining product strategy for an offering or capability that drove meaningful business growth.
  • Experience using AI tools daily in your work to accelerate ideas to launch including applying AI/ML or agentic AI to automate complex, high-stakes workflows with measurable trust and quality improvements.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with engineering on technical decisions, system architecture, and AI/ML-powered features with an AI-first mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills: you write clearly, present persuasively, and build alignment across diverse stakeholders.
  • Undergraduate degree in technology, business, or a related field (equivalent professional experience of 6+ years in industry will be considered).

Strongly Preferred

  • Domain expertise in benefits administration, insurance, payroll, HR, or adjacent regulated SaaS workflows.
  • Background at companies like Gusto, Rippling, ADP, Workday, Paychex, Paylocity, Paycor, BambooHR, Justworks, or similar HCM / benefits / insurance platforms.
  • MBA, CPA, or advanced degree.
